All siding materials have pros and cons. Cement board (Hardie) siding is very durable but requires routine maintenance such as painting to keep longevity. Vinyl while very low maintenance is more subject to hail or other types of damage. Price can also be a determining factor, siding can be cheaper than you think or be an eye popping (seen both reactions).

My roof is leaking, do I have to replace it?

Usually no. Most cases leaks are caused by a damaged shingle, failed pipe boot, falling tree limb, or improper install (cheap doesn’t mean better). In these cases repairs can be done for significantly less than a new roof.

My business has a roof leak, do you repair commercial/flat roofs?
